Historic first for the Big Band
Students and alumni rehearse for the Big Band gig on the 7th March at Bingham Methodist Church. Amongst others, Spen Cousens, who first gigged with the Toot Hill Dance Band in 1976, joined our students' rehearsal last night. Nathan and wife Rachel, who met in the big band, brought their son Xander. Thomas Markwick, playing bass, brought his parents, who also met in the band back in the day! Colin Smith was back in top form......while Tony Farrell, the school band leader, intends to play his first gig on tenor sax.
