New Role: Career Ambassadors
The careers department is looking for four Year 9 students to become Career Ambassadors during their Year 10 year. As an Ambassador, students will be involved in enhancing the career provision across Toot Hill School. This can include a variety of tasks such as meeting and arranging guest speakers, assisting with the annual Career Fair and Mock Interview Day, creating resources and more.
As an ambassador, students will be invited to exclusive opportunities such as visiting colleges/universities, attending Careers Fairs and participating in events outside of school. These sessions will take place during school hours and will enrich ambassador’s with further career prospects and knowledge.
Duties Include:
- Updating the careers library both in School and online.
- Updating and creating career noticeboards.
- Meeting guest speakers when in School.
- Designing Career of the Week/ Skill of the Week segments for our career newsletter.
- Support with embedding Unifrog across the School - presentation for students and teachers.
- Working with the Careers team on launching work experience and arranging guest speakers.
- Taking care of the social media account to share careers related information to other students.
- Reviewing the Careers Books and presentations for active tutoring.
- Assisting in the organisation of the School's annual Careers Fair and Mock Interview Day.
- Brainstorming new ideas which can be implemented within the school.
