Lily Divall author of 'A False Creation' visited the Learning Lounge

Lily Divall who wrote 'A False Creation' visited the Learning Lounge today and ran an amazing creative writing session with 24 of our budding writers. The young author spoke about her experience of getting published at 18 and how important every idea you have can be. Later the students were engaged in creating their own settings/characters. Lily then looked through the selection of fantastic ideas and chose Solomon Okrafo-Smart (7.9) as her winner! He was lucky enough to take home a signed copy of her book for free. Well done to all the students that attended and we hope to see all your ideas develop into flourishing stories.

Remember we have 2 copies of Lily's book in the Learning Lounge which you can borrow! Alternatively you can always secure your own as copies are available to buy via Waterstones and Amazon.
