My road has been long and winding since leaving Toot Hill… After leaving school, aged 16, I entered a 4-year engineering apprenticeship before returning to full-time education to complete a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Systems. Following University, I moved around various engineering companies before shifting to the software industry which has taken me travelling across most of Europe, Japan and the USA. I then took a career break for several years to try my hand at writing fiction culminating in the recent publication of my first book Anticipation, published 8th August 2024. Now back working in the software industry working for a cloud services company, I seem to have come to rest in Durham where I live with my family.
