Psychology AS/A Level
Psychology is the scientific study of the mind. It is a multifaceted discipline and includes many sub-fields of study. Areas such as human development, sports, health, clinical, social behavior and cognitive processes.
By studying Psychology, you will gain an understanding of the different approaches, including how they relate to each other, using a range of practical and fun techniques in the classroom. This will then allow you to apply your understanding to explain a range of different behaviours and disorders.
This A Level is linear, with no external assessment until the end of the 2 year course.
Assessment
Psychology is split into 3 equally weighted components externally assessed at the end of the 2 year course.
Paper 1 - Topics In Psychology - 2 hour written examination.
