Toot Hill School Reporters meet a BBC Senior Journalist!

Practice News Day - Wednesday 21st January - An Afternoon with BBC Senior Journalist, Hannah Olsson (Media - 05/02/2015)

Our 12 THS School Reporters spent the afternoon with senior journalist, Hannah Olsson in a workshop which allowed students to develop their journalist skills.  The Year 7 and 8 students took part in a range of activities from how news should be ordered in a live report; to re writing news stories in preparation for the big news day, as well as mind mapping ideas for our stories.  Our 16 reporters will now get to work writing and preparing their television reports for the 19th March 2015.

Students from Toot Hill will be making the news for real on 19 March 2015 as they take part in BBC News School Report. We aim to publish the news by 1600 GMT on News Day, so please save this page as a favourite and return to it later.
