'To Kill a Mockingbird' Theatre Trip 25th February 2015
Over the last couple of weeks, the top tiers in year 8 have been studying the book ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee in English. As a result of this we were invited to go on a trip to see the book being performed at Nottingham Theatre Royal.
The play was amazing and the acting was phenomenal! I loved how all the actors had different copies of the book and all narrated using quotes from the book. Also I liked how they drew with chalk on the floor to create the streets on Maycomb county. As well as this the scenery created a rustic feel. My favourite scene was the very last scene when Jem had broken his arm and Scout cuddled up and fell asleep in Atticus’ arms.
Overall it was a spectacular play and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going.
