Who is GCSE Business Studies suitable for?
This course will appeal to students wanting to know how businesses operate from small businesses to global businesses. Students will use both mathematical and literacy skills to analyse and evaluate business decisions.

Starting a Business
This covers topics such as enterprise, business objectives and drawing up a business plan. It also covers choosing the legal structure and location of a company.
Marketing
Study the different methods businesses use to promote their product and also how they research the market
Finance
Decide where businesses can source funding and how to complete a cash flow forecast
Human Resources
This section looks at recruitment and selection of staff. You can also study how to motivate staff and how they are protected by legislation
Operations Management
Learn about the different ways to produce products and services, ensuring high levels of quality and maintaining good relationships with consumers
External Influences
Learn how businesses have to react to external influences such as competition, the economy, legislation and ethical pressures.
