Ben Curson Visits the Learning Lounge
During KS3 lunchtime on Wednesday 15th of May 2019, Toot Hill School's Learning Lounge was visited by Ben Curson. Ben is a Royal Marine with the Navy. He showed students different roles in the Navy and how these careers could be pursued.
He then spoke more about the Marines and the gruelling selection process they have to go through. However, he then spoke about the amazing benefits including a great pension, early retirement, free dental and visiting some fabulous locations.
Our students then asked him some hard hitting questions about his service time.
It was a pleasure to have Ben in today and our students really enjoyed the talk. Many took leaflets and felt very inspired.
