Introducing the Reading Relay
The Learning Lounge is introducing the Reading Relay. It's the ultimate reading challenge!
If you want to get involved its simple. To take part in the relay you need to complete 10 challenges. You can do them in any order you like. The 10 challenges are as follows:
- Complete a Book Trust Challenge or Teacher Feature Challenge.
- Read a book recommended by Ms Marris or Miss Jones.
- Read a STAR (Student Librarian Truly Awesome Read) book.
- Complete an ‘Issues’ quiz.
- Read a FQR (Fiction Quick Read).
- Reserve a book off the new display, collect and read it.
- Complete a monthly quiz.
- Read a Non-Fiction book and complete the bookmark with 10 facts and page numbers.
- Read a Graphic Novel.
- Read a book of your own choice from the LL.
If you are one of the first ten people to complete the challenge you will be rewarded with a £10 Waterstone giftcard, a stationery goody bag and 30 credit points.
