What a great STEM Trip for year 7: National Space Centre - Wednesday 19th July

60 year 7 students had a great day visiting the National Space Centre in Leicester yesterday. We saw a planetarium show as well as taking in all the incredible exhibits and heading up to the top of the rocket tower. The day was enjoyable, but more importantly, the students were able to see Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in action in so many interesting ways. There are definitely some future STEM superstars in this year 7 group.

Keep an eye out for more STEM opportunities in the new year and in the mean time (as we discussed on the trip) keep an eye out for the International Space Station which has a number of visible passes over the next few evenings. Fingers crossed the clouds stay away se we can look to the west and see it coming (link below)

Thanks to the students, whose behaviour and engagement was excellent, and to the staff who helped to make the trip happen.
